Heres how the illusion works: Its yellow and other light colors when you first see it in a room that is bright. It is blue and black if you first see it in a room that is darker It switches if you go from a dark room to light room and vise versa. This vid explains it better: P.S. one of my school friends made this, he's a genius
The actual dress if blue and black, it is simply perception for what colour the dress seems. If you look at the bottom left, there is a white and gold dress, in which there is a huge difference in shades between the centre dress and the bottom left one. Honestly, this should have never appeared as a meme, considering the fact that it was just an awful image that was taken directly in front of light causing the illusion. I hope we all know what happens to a photograph when it is taken in front of the sun, with no filter at all.
Did you know the whole entire dress thing started at a wedding? The story is a mom had to buy a dress for her daughter's wedding. She was not aloud to wear gold(it might be white). She bought the blue and black dress and went to the wedding. A woman at the wedding said her dress looks good and white. Then the mom posted this on the Internet and all hell broke lose. The End
Well at least that's what I heard so I tried. But if it's not true then atleast the story was a good enough hoax
No, just pointing out everyone's already heard the explanation and it's been stated in this thread. Who cares about the dress anyways
