I think dry's right, 2.5k a year isn't that much. It's close to nothing at all actually. It'd be more efficient to buy a better quality laptop that lasts so you don't have to replace/reconfig everything every year. I get money too from my great-uncle, Fred Switzer who made Day-Glo aka neon paint like on cones and vests. I still don't buy things randomly because that's stupid.
