Previously, when we had teamspeak, no one used it for several reasons.
The reasons being: We had no players at the time.
If i'm not wrong, this was the time of which we shall not speak phase, where there was around 3 players average. Now there is 15-20 players average, on weekdays & weeknights and around 25-35 on weekends.
I think that we should bring back the Teamspeak servers because its the quickest way to communicate threw talking and the amount of average players is increasing.
Also the fact that we are overachieving our monthly goal in just the first 2 weeks, we will have more than enough to host a Teamspeak server.

Why Teamspeak is better for communicating than Skype?
    • With Skype you need to ‘add people’ in order to be able to call them. With Teamspeak, you just join and talk. Easy as that!
    • Teamspeak is the best way to meet new people, and if you're new to the community especially. While Skype, you have to add the person, and if you are new to the community, its unlikely that someone will give out their Skype to someone random.
    • Teamspeak allows you to easily switch from server to server in a click!
    • Teamspeak allows you to enable many audio settings. Such as Push-to-talk, which can be a lot easier to do when you are eating, coughing or have to talk to family when they barge in (because most of us have had experience with these things) and its a lot easier to use push to talk than muting your microphone in my opinion. Also, Teamspeak can pick up your voice when you talk and enable your microphone automatically, and have it turn off when you aren't talking. This would exclude those annoying background noises, such as those pesky computer fans, or toilet noises and brushing teeth (Pointing at you Napkin).
    • Teamspeak is a lot better for team games, such as Destroy The Core. Because Teamspeak is a whole lot less laggy, which means better game performance while Skype on the other hand tends to lag your computer once in a while. Teamspeak is better quality, less laggy. The way Skype chooses its path through the routers to reach the destination is pretty unstable (which is why there might be a delay in the calls and once in the while, the calls getting dropped), while TeamSpeak uses rented/paid servers, and have implemented better networking (in simpler terms) that allow a user to be on a more stable connection. The voices are clearer, and if you do lag out of a TeamSpeak server then the program will keep trying to re-connect you.
    • On your Teamspeak server, there are public rooms, but at the same time, there can be private rooms for players who have donated (ex. MVP Lounge). But there would also be a feature where anyone can create their own room (It's not permanent, its open for 3 hours or so at a time, unless the host removes the room) and add a password to it, so you can give your friends the password to the room, so you guys can talk privately. This would be cool because its just like Skype, but better. You can even chat!
    To sum up everything:
    PROS:
Best way to connect with community
    Less laggy than Skype
    Better servers
    Great for team games

    CONS:
Less popular than Skype (but i'm sure people would still download it if we advertised)

So what do you think, should we have the Teamspeak server back?

apparently it costed to make a team speak server. i think they meant rent. why cant we just download it and host it ourselves instead of renting one. even i could host it if needed

I'd rather have a server hosted, because if one individual hosts, it's probably prone to internet fails, etc.
    WE NEED IT BACK

I have used both TeamSpeak 3 and Mumble for VoIP purposes and in my opinion, I believe that Mumble should be used. When we first had voice chat available to us, we were using TeamSpeak 3. It was an experiment and I had no objections to using the program over Mumble because they were the first steps. Now that we are considering bringing back voice chat for the community, I am in favour of using Mumble.

I, myself use Mumble more, but I didn't know it would be an option against TeamSpeak in this situation.

Not to forget, you don't have to pay to host a mumble server.
We really just need someone who can host a mumble server and viola.
Mumble works in the same way teamspeak does, e.g. with channels & groups, so I think it is a very good (possibly better) alternative to TeamSpeak.

I just use TeamSpeak when im in csgo games Its good enough. and tbh I dont see the reason to add more money onto the server. Mumble might be a good idea since its free.
Problem is it might just be a repeat of last time and just work for 10 people then 2 weeks later its a desert

Anyway we could possibly get mumble or teamspeak?

I mean, someone could totally set up a mumble server free of charge, but 24/7? Mmmmmmmm, how about ehhh...
We'd need like funding from professional hosting servers.

We just need someone who's willing to spend a bit of power to turn on a computer that hosts the Mumble serverwith weekly shut downs (to rest the computer out a little) for an hour or two and then restart the computer.
Doesnt even need to be a good computer; just A computer will do the job. Hell, even a laptop might cut it.

Yeah, I don't really see how teamspeak is very different from skype. I mean sure its a bit of a lower quality but everyone has it, it's free and you can be added to chat anytime.

I might add this once we have more-ish players, but for now Skype will have to do.
