Haha, title wordplay. So recently, there has been quite a stir on the "Trump" thread. A debate. I've seen the arguments, and I thought, "How about a debate on another topic?" So I've wanted to see if anyone would be interested in a debate on, uh... ...oh why not debate about the possibility of life on mars? Interesting topic, much evidence. I'll start with this. There has been evidence of water on mars, and as we see here, carbon based life thrives with water. There have been meteors from mars which composition could analyse, and if we find traces of carbon, it could prove the existence of ancient life. Another possibility is that we send a probe with the ability to excavate and analyse deeper soil samples, with a similar possible outcome. A simple argument, but simple seeds grow into great trees! I hope this goes well.
We're gonna base our current hypothesis' off the fact that life is carbon based. That's gonna set a basis for possibility of life based off other elements.
I personally feel as if there is a possibility of life on any planet (excluding gas planets), we just need to look for them. I believe that other planets have caves and ravines and all that good stuff, and that somewhere deep underground there has to be some form of alien life. However, I don't believe that any planet within our solar system has intelligent life (Intelligent meaning they have a language, a civilization, and have a basic understand of mechanics {inventing the wheel})
