        TNT, the amount of electrons means nothing upon where an element stands on a periodici table. However, the amount of valence electrons do. Needless to say, hydrogen is still considered as a "metal" in the chemistry communities.

        It just so happens that at 0 Degrees Celsius, hydrogen is in the form of gas. Every other feature though is the exact same as a metal. TNT, also, let me remind you that while you are in Grade 7, I am in Grade 10 and am currently studying Chemistry in science. There is no point to argue.
