Okay well, my setup is basically a HP laptop.. idk what kind exactly because I don't care. I have a wireless Logitech mouse. and to add some beautifulness I have flashing Christmas lights behind my computer. ta da
How do you actually not lag with either of these computers? Honestly, I just searched up your laptop and it had a first generation Intel atom which quite honestly are horrible. Jesus, I am going to guess you got a hand-me-down computer, damn
My specs: i5-4690k @ 4.2 ghz Nvidia GTX 970 16 gb ram 256gb ssd + 1tb hdd Asus VII Hero motherboard http://gaben.tv/
I think I've posted this before somewhere but anyway here it goes (Warning ... Lots of apple products involved, Parental Guidance is advised) For my main computer I have a 'speced out' 27' iMac (New Design) with the following specs (Yes copied from the apple website as I'm too lazy to copy and paste them all) 3.5GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz 32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 4X8GB 3TB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB GDDR5 For my second computer I have a 'speced out' 15' Macbook Pro Retina Display with the following specs (Copied again, Bad Matty!) 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.0GHz 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM 1TB PCIe-based Flash Storage Intel Iris Pro Graphics and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB of GDDR5 memory In my setup i also have a few other things Ipad Air2 as a second monitor for my macbook, The iMac can also be used as a second monitor Samsung Smart 3D 4k Ultra HD 65" Curved LED TV, mainly for editing the 4K Aerial footage I capture using my Gopro Hero 4 and Dji Phantom 2 I also have a sound bar thingy that sits under the TV I would love to extend my setup by adding 2 more 27' displays at each side of my iMac and then suspending the 4K TV above them but the current situation of my desk this is not possible. I will post a photo of my setup ASAP as I'm getting a new desk soon as i broke my other one whilst moving it :/
Just want to say thank you for 1k views on the thread. I didn't think an idea this simple would be so popular! Remember to update everyone on your developments or upgrades to your setup in this thread! Sorry for double post Not really an update to my setup but an update to my tech; depending on how I do in my exams I may be able to upgrade to the next iPhone that comes out I've been using the iPhone 5 for about 2 years now and it's starting to lag behind other apps (a lot of apps require iPhone 5S or 6 now) Following the pattern of most other iPhone releases, they usually come out in September, so I'm gonna hold out till then. It's not even holding out as I'm very lucky to have an iPhone in the first place I decided against getting an Apple Watch because my preferred version was over £800, and even though I'm still using an iPad 2 (5 years old), I don't struggle with storage space like I do on my phone (because it's full xD ) Again, I've been working on this setup for a few years so it's taken a long time to get to the stage I am now Objectives: • Possibly switch the DeathStalker Ultimate out for a Blackwidow Chroma • Sell my other two mice which I don't use anymore (Razer Ouroboros & Razer Naga Epic [2012] ) • Decide whether or not to sell my old headphones used for gaming (Monster DNA headphones) • Look at purchasing a headphone stand for my current Steelseries Sibera Elite Headset • Look at buying a newer up-to-date video card than my current and installing it inside the computer. • Potentially look at buying a new monitor (?) • Potentially look at negotiating terms for buying a gaming laptop (??) • Take over and set up the BC dictatorship, then take over the world (???)
awww I just read through this thread again, how time flies! + 2k views! I saw I posted some objectives just under 2 years ago so I thought I'd update you all! Basically my setup hasn't changed in 2 years, but my desk has got loads messier A lot of this stuff are things I did 1 - 1 1/2 years ago, but am only just putting into writing now. I decided to stick with the DeathStalker Ultimate as generally, I prefer membrane keyboards to mechanical (although I looked at getting an Ornata Chroma, which is a blend of both). Additionally, I'm 99.9% sure that Razer no longer sell the D.S. Ultimate, so that means I have a limited edition keyboard I successfully sold the Ouroboros & Naga Epic 2012, and replaced them with the Naga Epic Chroma, which has a more defined thumbpad allowing for easier blindfinding of buttons. Ngl, I've lost the Monster DNA Headphones My Steelseries Siberia headset stopped working properly (as it was only playing out of one ear), which was disappointing as they were fairly expensive. I replaced them with a Razer Kraken Chroma, but they're much less comfortable than the Steelseries. I'm a fan of Razer products but I find their headphones to be far inferior to Steelseries headphones. I'm looking at buying a new Arctis headset from Steelseries, probably the Arctis 5. I just use a desk lamp as my headphone stand I would love to get a new video card and some more RAM but tbh, I don't have the time nor the drive (ayy) to open up the side of my computer to do it. My monitor is working fine, idk what I was chatting lol I'm not really interested in buying a gaming laptop anymore. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro which fulfills most of my needs. Apparently dictatorships are illegal and 'inhumane' so that went out the window too.
