This Year In BuildCraftia

2015- A Year Of Minigames, Staff, and Recovery From Arc-, anyways, here is a recap of all things that happened in 2015, from Staff Application to Staff Demotion, from Server Crashes to API Uploads.

January 2015
January was a particularly rough month for BC, starting with the Purge of #TeamNapkin's base. This happened very early this year, so I doubt any of you will remember, but here are some screenshots:


The reason for this was because of 1.8, which the Beta Server had just been released exactly one year ago today (Dec 31)! This update caused several bugs, including a Permissions issue, and several minigames servers to crash! However, January did come for new things, however, such as Sky Wars! This minigame didn't last for long, but it was a great minigame to play, and may be returning soon!

January also brought for a new rank, Senior Moderator! Senior Mod took regular Mods, and promoted them to a rank very similar to Admin. The first 3 Senior Moderators were: @knewnie @yvagary and @IPROXGio . Later this month, Survival 1.8 came out, releasing several new features, but a world reset being the most notable change. This devastated many, but for everyone, it proved to be a nice fresh start, both to Survival Players and for 2015. However, the most famous feature for January has been the addition of Party Chat, and the new PlotMe plugin! The Party Chat allowed users to /msg many players at once, and allowed them to all speak to each other in a smaller group! The new Plot Plugins (Updated for 1.8) allowed players to at last merge plots, thus causing ease and help amongst the entire server.

February
Firstly, this month started a bleak turn for BC. Starting from the beginning, one of the oldest staff members quit- @NapkinDabber . Though this player is still around today (And making wonderful comics!), he will always be remembered on the staff team. However, this month also proved helpful for many things, such as hinting at a $150 "Legend" Rank with a Personal World, All Trails, and All Pets. This Rank would have a Pink Prefix, but sadly the idea was later shot down...For now. Funny though, some suggestions were "Rename it to Penguin" (Leo) and "Give it Purple, rather then Pink" (Miner)... Oh well. Anyways, Name Changing also came out this month! Though this was a huge hassle for world owners, it brought a new amount of Creative(?) names to our server! Finally, STAFF APPS! Febuary Staff Applications were released, and everyone who is a someone applied! The players selected were @SirRazerlyte @Jessie @PinkPonk @Nappa_Terasu @HazlerTheDazzler . These players were promoted to Helper!

March
Ahh, sweet March. The grass is growing green, the sky is turning blue! This month didn't hold a lot, except for Build Comp #4, and new Staff additions! These staff changes brought many different things to the team, but mainly a new spin on the server! The staff included upgrading three out of the 5 Helpers above (Razer, Jess, and Nine).

April
APRILLLL! A time of fun! Kash quit the server (Pulled a Jeremy), Server changed Owners to @AZZA , and even threatened to ban all non-Finnish speakers! (Kidding). Seriously though, a serious event was seen. Long term player, ImNotARapper, was caught griefing and stating several rude remarks about the server. @LordN826 had the guts to make a ban report, and a huge fight was caused that made several changes server-wide. The community had finally started gaining a bigger voice. However, this month caused for several fun updates! Examples including Penguin Rank (WOAH WHO SAW THAT COMING?!), Stair Chairs, Falcon Punch, /name, /whattobuild, /m8b, and /penguin! This month was certainly grand for the server!

Finally, the greatest update; Plot Flags! These flags caused for several changes plot wise, such as Greetings, Farewells, and even Plot Gamemodes!

May
May sweet May! This brought the start of the anxious API, as well as a new server GIF.


Staff Changes were also presented, as @SirRazerlyte and @Ryan3419 were promoted to Admin, and @MacMeBenny , @Quicksteve , @MattyC , and @AZZA were all given the Owner Rank! The server was looking up, and it was finally recovering from Arc-.

Finally, Mod Noms Opened! The Winners were @Chipjelly and @FatherFan , who were promoted to Moderator, after removal of the Helper Rank!


June
SUMMER! Or at least for most of us. The server started with a great Summer Sale, followed with a new icon update!

Staff Changes also made a comeback, as @Ryan3419 Retired. @Jessie was promoted to Admin, while @TemporarilyAlone , @PhoenixStudios , and @Dusty were promoted to Mod!

July
lmao ok I'm going to be honest- Nothing big happened in July. July was just an average boring month for BC.

August
Mod Upgrades! Moderators @FatherFan and @Nappa_Terasu were promoted to Admin Rank, as @SirRazerlyte had recently quit staff!

This month also brought the first revamp of BuildComp, hosted by @SirRazerlyte and @LumenFidei . I believe the player @galayon won!
Finally, August brought a start to a more organized server, as a full list of changes and objectives were made for the server!

September
Firstly, a better voting system came out, which made several more players feeling the need to vote!

This new system gave several new perks, including an Armor Posing device (My personal favorite)

October
October had a rough start, with the player/admin @FatherFan being demoted for a "Roasting Sesh". However, things were looking up with Moderator Applications, when new players such as @Alatus @Kaiziieee and @JeremyC (AGAIN) were promoted to Moderator! This month was also when the first BCSN Letter was sent, to @Wordguy (What a nerd!). The contents are here-

I have always remembered your building skills in our server. It's always lovely to see something new popping up. Your personal worlds are getting so filled with new builds and you are getting people together to play, and that if anything is awesome! That's something every player should do and follow. You get people participating into different events, mini games... I have no idea how you do it. Maybe you should tell me your secrets... (Fail emoticon xD)

November
As the year began coming to a close, player @Jessie became Owner. Not much more happened, except @MacMeBenny decided to go for a 1 month break. Factions was also hinted, but not much more has been stated. Finally, a new set of BC Rules was released.

December
Ah, December. A year had gone by, with this month holding several Promotions, Demotions, and Sales! Firstly, Sales were launched, being 35%. Next, @Dusty and @Alatus were promoted to Admin. Sadly, however, Moderators @TemporarilyAlone and @Kenreao were demoted to Penguin, and Moderator Applications opened! Finally, @Wordguy wrote a thread about all the fun and bad things that have gone down in 2015.

Thank you for reading. 2015 was a great year for me, with a few bumps and turns, but I believe 2016 will be even better for all of BuildCraftia.

Well, firstly, this thread was mainly staff and major changes, notice I didn't include Kash quitting staff, me quitting BC, Razer quitting BC, Inventor getting on, etc.

Secondary, I tried not being hostile.
