[Rant] Penguin Rank, not enough perks?

DISCLAIMER: The penguin rank is still an incredible rank, and in no way am i discouraging you to donate for the rank. Also the thread contains many opinions.

So Penguin has some pretty cool features. Like a join message, trails, pets and all the previous donator perks of course. But recently many temporary voting perks have came out, and most of the voting perks contain many previous voting perks. Such as gamemode and thru (not necessarily worried about those perks). But a few other things had me worried. Such as the join message. The join message was for penguins, to indicate their importance to the server with a special welcome. But now the join message is obtainable by ANYBODY by just voting 5 times, which may i say lasts a day and you get seven voting sites, meaning you can get a join message, /thru, /gamemode and /vanish in just a day of voting. Now i have no problem with voting, because really, i love when someone votes! It helps the server. But really, my problem is not them getting all these donator perks for practically free. My problem is that this is slowly eliminating the ranks perks. I can buy all of the (necessary) pet packs, all the trails and a private world, and still have almost $40 less then what i get for the penguin rank, and still have access to most of the previous donator perks, including /vanish, /thru, /gamemode and most WorldEDIT commands. What i'm trying to say is, i think Penguin deserves a tad more perks, since we do donate $150 for the rank. The penguin rank should have some special things that no other rank has, and that no voting perk can obtain.

Summary:
Voting allows members to get the best donator perks, so therefore most of the ranks are not getting what they payed for. In conclusion, donators (specifically penguins) should get a few more perks that no other rank, or voting will give them this perk.

I do feel like some of the ranks deserve more items, and i hope you guys can agree.
NOTE: I am not saying that all ranks should have a billion more items, just stating that we should get what we payed for (example: being able to import our own worlds, beta test games that other ranks are able to beta test, have our own "Minigame servers" where we can host our own DTC, PB or Slimerun servers and invite players to come join, this allows you to start/stop the game and do something such as a 1v1 game with a friend)

I do have to agree with this for the most part. I definitely don't think /v should be a voting perk because not only can anyone get it, but also mods can't see vanished players, so basically, if someone was vanished and messing with another player, we wouldn't be able to tell who it is. Also, if someone tries to crash the server, we won't be able to teleport to them. Lastly, I've already seen a few occasions where players who got the /vanish perk and then it expired got the vanish glitch so no one could see them.

 

I'd rather call this thread the "Penguin Rant"
Also a good perk for penguin would be having no cool down on commands like /hug.
Maybe the ability to nick themselves too.
Double vote points would sound good.
And permanent access to the armour stand GUI would be nice too.
And that goddamn letter.

I was double checking the store page, there's no mention about a private letter? If it's true you were promised a private letter I'm sure it'd be no problem

 

They probably removed it, but when it first came out, the description literally said "A private, handwritten letter."

 

This response is long so brace yourselves. Also excuse the shitty grammar & spellling as im using my phone. So im honestly not a fan of penguin rank and never really have been. But I didnt really mention it in my server rant a couple months ago because it isnt such a pressing issue on the server. But il explain.
First off, it doesnt flow with the rank system. Contributor, donor, vip, premium, mvp, penguin. Penguin does not fit in that category.
Secondly, penguin is a $75 upgrade from mvp, which is way too much. The price of the rank is not the problem, its the price of upgrade if that makes sense. So basiclly what im saying is that if we are going to have a $150 rank, we need something inbetween $75 and $150 so people can buy more over time.
Penguin also has the feature that does a broadcast when a penguin joins. Its quite distracting and abnoxious. It also in a way shows a sense of wealth, that the other person was able to buy the rank.
The features that penguin can buy arent really unique to the rank apart from the falcon punch thing and the broadcast.
The color is the color of the old admin. Not that we had a choice, but it makes some of us old folk remember old bc (and you know what happens after this)
Conclusion: penguin needs improvement

 

"All trails".. Well except the Ore-Trail and the Clay-Trail. Lmao
