Lately, I have seen people saying "Staff, please lock this thread!" etc. What if those people could do it themselves?

I am wondering that: if someone started the thread, then they could lock it. No one else but staff could lock this thread. Personally, I'd love it if I could lock my own thread. I'm sure others would too! For example, if your getting lots of hate and you don't want it, you'd simply click 'lock thread' button at the top of the page! I've been on other forums, and I have seen this possible, but then again, we might run on something different! Just an idea, hope you implement it!

Hmmm... not sure if this suggestion is going to work out... Or if it's even possible...

There would be separate locking mechanisms for staff and for the players, because of a staff member locks a thread, the player could just unlock it as soon as that happened...

I'll let you know if we can do this or not, I'll talk with Quicksteve.

Mhm, I didn't think about that. I think the forums I saw it on runs on a different plugin/whatever it's called, so it might not work. Thanks again! :)

It's still a most excellent idea in perfect theory.

I personally think this is a great idea and would be very handy for you guys to have.

Maybe even though this will be harder, if a staff member locks it then the staff member becomes like the owner of the thread but of course they would keep it locked and not use it

There should be Staff lock and Member lock.

I dont think people should have unlock
    Reasons: Necroposting, Staff unlocked etc.
But the ability to lock your own thread yes.
    Just not to unlock it

I think this is exactly what is needed. No such thing as unlocking

Im pretty sure it is possible as i saw something like this on the cubecraftgames forums and they use the exact same forums we do, XENFO, i believe, or whatever its called.

This can't be done sadly as the plugin will not work without current XF version. Just report the post to be closed.
