"Skin competitions are for noooooobs and they're really bad and no-one likes them." Let's change that Okay so skin comps are famous for being huge eyesores and have a reputation for being built by newbs. It's a pretty unfair stereotype but it exists. To be fair, any type of build - if built and executed well - can be amazing. So, about 2 or 3 maps ago, me and ChazKaz built BC's first redstone skin comp. And it changed a few people's minds about the whole skin comp idea I've started out on a brand new one now that ParkourZone 2.0 is finished. This thread will serve as an update log for people to see how the build is going, as well as showing some behind-the-scenes pictures. Additionally, it's to show people that for once in my life, I can make a build that isn't 95% quartz. This was the Skin Competition Centre about a week ago. The exterior building was near-enough done, apart from the roof. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is the exterior of the Centre now. The outisde is done and the grass has been bonemeal-ed. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is the inside of the Centre. This is the furthest point where any spectators go. Entrees will choose a slot (or chamber) to stand in before judging starts. The structure in the middle is the control room. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Behind-the-scenes look at the first level of redstone. The redstone itself isn't particularly difficult; it's the compact space and the timings that can be annoying. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Behind-the-scenes look at the different levels of the Centre at this point in time. This is a scenic skin competition, more of which will be explained later. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= So, that's the build so far. I'll try to keep this thread updated with how the build is going. Beta testers will be needed in the not-so distant future!
Uhm I've found a huge flaw in this idea.. Where the fork is Shrek. and Donkey.. and Piggy. 10/10 though
