ok heres my opinion. Everyone is leaving because they don't beileve in the staff. But the staff have done alot for us! Not just the community is what keeps the server alive! Its the staff the comunity, everyone! And If everyone's going to leave then whats the point? Alot of leaving letters talked about the community being small! Well guess what! Your not helping! Leaving us, the community, is just going to make it smaller! And jeremy you said there were nominations for staff? Well think about it! They could be a bad person, but gaining everyone's trust! Then they get chosen, and start griefing everything! So please stop leaving Me, us, the community! Cause if you realize, we care! The more you leave, the more others leave! So let me end with one word: STOP *this is my opinion, please don't hate!*
Dan, let me point a few things out. 1. A lot of people are older than they were in the "old bc". This means they are higher in their education, and with that, you tend to get more work. Plus, some people just grow out of it and decide to focus on their life more. 2. Anyone on staff could grief, as recent and past incidents have proven. It has nothing to do with whether they are nominated or not, it could still happen. ***I'm not saying that staff would necessarily grief, just that they could. 3. Some people just don't agree with how the server is being run right now, and that is their choice, they can leave if they feel like it. 4. As for the "small community", yes, I realize we don't have as many players as a 'megaserver', but we aren't a megaserver, we are Buildcraftia. Also, as time goes on, we are getting new members joining the server, so hopefully you won't have to worry about a "small community" for long. Anyways, at the end of the day, it is their choice, and for the most part they have multiple reasons for their actions and their decision. I'm sure we can all understand that sometimes you just need a break.
Dan, they're leaving not because they don't believe in the staff, but because they dislike the way they operate (admins). They've left because of that. They're leaving because they believe doing so will help the community adress the problem of the staff. But hey, i'm not here to bring your hopes down, cause I'm staying, no matter what my opinion (unless the server because ultrashitty).
As Dusty said, the staff member who quit in their position was mainly due not believing at all how the server is running. Of course, other factors kick in such as excessive stressed caused, so those whose who leave have the right to. Quite frankly, in my opinion this whole situation is turning out to be another Renaissance ie; a new beginning. As we all know or at least should know, we are getting a new api which will majority seperate us from other servers, as well as gaining popularity and possibly those who left simply can't deal with the stress.
Nice way of putting it. As of this moment, all seems to be at peace, so let's just continue on with BC and see where everything gets taken.
