So I've been a member of the BC community for many years now, and I have a few things I'd like to say now that BobbyBouy is gone.


First off Matty and Azza need some cold showers. They both have gone power crazy, and really, Zach needs to take over again. Bobby and the old community can probably all agree that it's pretty shit now.


Over the years I've been on BuildCraftia, I've made some friends, seen the shit go down ;-), and I've seen the server grow, fall apart, re-grow, and currently fall apart again. I've noticed the admins going from a friendly part of the server (i.e. Jkftw, Bobby, Sparky (more or less), Candy (more or less), Challenger (when he wasn't trying to get girls), and Stickwarslit) and then some who are pretty power hungry. It's gotten to a point, where the admins really can't take shit, and some of them are like 20. They act like children half the time, when in reality, them getting shit on by the older community, should be a wake-up call to the current situations regarding the staff.


I whole-heartedly agree Bobby did over react, but still, you guys need to take a cold shower. In reality, it's just a Minecraft server made for people to have some fun, not for a fucking power trip area. Go ahead, delete this post, ban me for literally the 37th time, I really don't care. Me and my friends I made on this server left, not because we hated the community and the server, but because of the direction the server is taking.


I love the thought of the old server, where 50 people basically chilled and fought RP and were sort of mature. When it was more about the community, then the staff, but in it's current state, with less then basically 10 people on a day doing RP and half-assed builds, it isn't fun.


Many of the older players, or the original players (2 or more years) grew up. They turned BC from a childish Minecraft server, to a place where they could basically talk and hangout. I've personally put probably over one thousand hours into this server, and all I did was joke around with my friends. In my years on this server, I've seen this server change. I've put my money into it, I've talked personally with Zach and Taz and all those people. I know this place, and I want it to go back to what it used to be.


In the end, this server has gone downhill, and it's sad. I miss the old BC, it's turned from a place with marvelous builds, a great community, and just in general a welcoming home for everyone, into a childish RP fest.


Feel free to ban me, or delete this post, or whatever want... but I feel like since Matty in the Bobby thing said we could say our 2 cents, I will, and I did.

Well, if you're getting pissed off at how the server is run, I would enjoy watching you running and coding a server better.

Sometimes you try your hardest, but things don't work out the way you wanted them to. Sometimes, things have to change, and sometimes, those changes are for the better.

 

These changes aren't for the better, and if I remember fishy, you loved the old server.

 

I did like the old server. I really did. However, you just have to accept that we're NOT going back to the old times. The server, (Specifically the present-day server) is the only reason I actually play Minecraft. I love how everything works, and I love the community. I agree that it is very different from older times, but, the current times are fine the way they are. You may disagree with me, but it's my opinion, and I am sure that a lot of people are content with the present server. You just need to accept the fact that this is the way things are now.

 

I'm not going to agree or disagree with anything said, but I will say that I preferred classic BuildCraftia to the current.

What needs to be done is that whoever will carry on leading the server should sit down & take an analytic look at what made the classic BC popular, and then take steps to implement the changes that would take the server back to its former, 100+ player status.

EDIT: Feel free to respond to my view in a positive/negative way, but if you're being stupid I'll make an example of it.

 

No that is what we need, we need to mix what we have done into what we are doing, the perfect combination. What are we missing from before, what we're the key factors that brang in the players, and what bad parts were there, that we can fix and still include the wonderful new staff that has been added

 

BCSN is (to be honest) fine the way it is. I'm not sure if anything about this has to do with Arcadia, but if it does, then I missed out completely. We still have good builders, fun times, and also, what's so bad about Roleplay? Like, really, it's just some people having fun. The staff run the server fine, and if those haters don't like the server, then just take my advice: and don't play on the server. And yes, fishy, I agree. I'd like to see if anyone else can make a better server with 1000 people!

 

But bc had alot more people back in the day and a much better community. That is why alot of people are angry, myself included. Granted, phoenix said it the best way possible.

To be honest, BCSN is better with less players. It makes the server have less arguments - and less problems...

 

No players = no money = no server.
And if you're going to tell me 'but we have 200 percent monthly goal' , its all because of the Penguin rank. And we can't make anymore ranks.

 

AZZA did not delete your thread. Drop it or I'll lock this thread myself.

 

You guys have to understand one thing - everyone always says "Oh, you have to make it like the old days." or "Just do what you did back then."

That's impossible. Minecraft is not like what it was 2-3 years ago and even then there was a different community than there is today. I can't just make a server like it was - honestly, I can't do much at this moment to make it "like it was" - it's already almost exactly the same. In addition, with the "get more players" sort of view - that's VERY hard now these days for Minecraft servers. I mean if you guys maybe would try to understand how difficult it is to do all of that - then maybe there would be a different view on it instead of bashing the admins... I don't know.

The one thing I would like everyone to think about is if you're going to say "bring back the old BuildCraftia" or whatever - have ideas, suggestions, and plans to do that instead of just stating it and complaining.
