Ello. So i've been thinking up of ideas for a game and I have one. It's called domination and it is a mix of CS:GO, DTC, UHC, Survival games, and capture the flag. The game works like this: There are 3 teams each game, teams of 2-20. Each person spawns in with a kit of their choice Bows are one hit kills from 30 blocks or farther, but do 0 damage if any closer than 30 blocks. The first team too 10,000 points, to blow up bomb sites 50 times, wins! Now, there are many ways of getting points. I will list them off below Killing a player on an opposing team with a sword gets your team 50 points Killing a player on another team with a form other than a bow, arrow, or tool: IE: Tnt, Lava, knockback stick, exc, gets your team 100 points. Blowing up a bomb site gets your team 500 points Capturing a outpost gets your team 200 points plus 5 points every second you hold the outpost. Now you are probably wondering, what are outposts and bomb sites, and where are they: Well, here is a brief overview: Outposts: There are 10 outposts per map. Each outpost will be marked by a sign that says outpost and will have gold blocks in a cross at the center of it. The way a team captures an outpost is by placing down their team's wool color block in the center of the gold cross. Another team can destroy this wool block, and place their own, to capture the outpost. Outposts points would be on places such as rooftops, towers, and in abandon buildings. Bomb Sites: There are 9 bomb sites on the map, 3 for each team. The bomb sites are marked by a redstone block cross. The way a team blows up a bomb site is by placing tnt on each of the 5 redstone blocks and then lighting it. ALL tnt blocks must explode for the bomb site to be considered destroyed. Bomb site areas do not take damage from explosions. A bomb site can be exploded once every 2 minutes Now onto another topic: Maps The maps for this game must be large, at least 150x150. So 4 plots merged into a square in the creative world, or a premium plot, those are good size. Once a map is accepted, barrier blocks will be placed around it so people can't go outside of the map. Maps must NOT be symmetrical. The game can only work if the maps are not even on both sides. Now some people may say: Some teams may get an unfair advantage if the maps aren't the same on all sides but, 1: it will look weird if the maps are the same, 2. The maps will be balanced so no team gets an advantage, and 3: It makes it so people have to memorize the ENTIRE map, not just one side. Kits: So there are a variety of kits to choose from, each with a special ability. Each kit, no matter what they are, will automatically contain the following: 3 team wool blocks to capture outposts: 5 tnt and 5 tnt torches to blow up bomb sites 10 cooked chicken Iron pickaxe Archer: This kit will have a bow and 32 arrows. This kit will have full lether armor. They will also contain an Iron sword. The special ability archer has is that it has +1 speed. Fighter: This kit is for sword pvp. It has an iron sword, and full iron armor. They will also have a diamond axe. The special ability this kit contains is it has a strength 1 effect on all players on it's team within a 10 block radius. Bomber: Exactly what the kit says, bombs! This kit has an extra 20 tnt and 15 extra redstone torches. It also has lether chestplate and leggins, but iron helmet and boots, both with blast protection 3. They also have a stone sword and a stone pickaxe. This kit's special ability is that it gives regeneration 2 to all teammates within a 15 block radius. Medic: This kit has 5 splash potions of healing to heal it's teammates. They have an Iron Chestplate but the rest is lether armor. They also have a stone sword and a stone pickaxe. Their special ability is that it has regeneration 2. Tank: This kit has a diamond chestplate and leggings, but Iron helmet and boots. It has a stone sword. This kit has strength 2. Infiltrator: This is for you stealthy infiltrators who want to capture outposts. This kit has 6 team wool blocks instead of 3 and has lether armor plus a stone sword and diamond pickaxe. The special effect this kit gives is speed 2 to all teammates within a 15 block radius. Gameplay elements: Each map will have chests scattered around, hence the survival games element. Each chest will contain goodies such as potions, bows/arrows, swords, tools, tnt and redstone torches, food, and blocks. Now, blocks can be placed anywhere except in bomb sites and outposts as those will automatically disable that. Blocks can be destroyed also. Strategies like bridging will be allowed. Each player, like in dtc, respawns after they are killed. So that is the game idea I have. I am working on a map for it which will be done soon. Comment for suggestions and opinions. There is also a poll. Thanks! -Jeremy
I think the 30 block limit should be reduced : I, not for my benefit but for those that aren't as good at archery
The reason the 30 block limit is in place is because it is to stop a person from bow spamming when they are 5 blocks away. I feel 30 blocks is the right distance for this. Idk, maybe it could be reduced to 25 or 20
