Microsoft has bought Mojang.

Hey there guys.
Today I wanted to share you something quite sad.
Mojang was bought by Microsoft this monday.

Not to make it rain, but alot of companys who are being bought state the same. 'Nothing is going to happen' , etc. Maybe you won't notice alot in the first year Microsoft is ruling Mojang, but in a long term, shit will hit the fan and Mojang will produce games so shitty, you're fascinated by how it once made one of the most succesfull indie titles in the world.

But that's my opinion. Of course you can go with Mojang's word..

I do not know how BuildCraftia will react to this, if it will change or anything else, though staff can say something about this if they want to.

I don't see why this is so bad. Minecraft is the like the 3rd best selling game of all time. Do you really think Microsoft will screw it up. I don't see them selling DLCs and I am excited for what's in store.

Or we could all be f*cked

Edit: This all makes sense now. The EULA being enforced because Microsoft will be enforcing it, the cancelation or minecon 2015 because of all the mad server owners will be out of jobs. Notch pretty much just sold a well developed community for 2.5 bil... Mojang had no say in anything anymore. Hell, if Microsoft decides, Minecraft will stop updating.

Ivy , look at what happened with Rare or alot of the indie companies bought by Mojang. Also, I heard somewhere that the entire mojang team had been replaced. The founders of Mojang (Notch and 2 others) left. Microsoft doesn't want Mojang for their developers. They want it for their fame.

 

What I don't like about this, is that some people *cough*Sud*cough* Are spouting unverified facts to the server and brewing hate against microsoft. This most likely won't be the worst thing ever. They most likely will not add DLC's because that's stupid.

So as a final note, Do not tell people unfounded facts about what is happening.
