Hillary actually had more votes, but didn't have as many electoral votes (the only votes that actually matter) Regarding Mipsu's comment, those 11,000 votes had they gone to Hillary would have actually caused a Hillary victory in this election.

I respect your opinion, but its still completely oblivious to bash on him. Yes, he has done some bad things but you better deal with it, whether you wanted him to be president or not. You shouldn't wish for his failure because that also means the failure for the country. He won the election based on this laws and system of the country. For gods sake, its a democracy. Let me just say, the biggest scary thing for me is that he gets to nominate not one, but up to four Supreme Court Justices. I feel like the rest of the Republicans are smart enough to control Trump because if they didn't and he ruined our country, their party would fail. Who knows, maybe a third party will come into power soon.
Ok ok so here's the deal with trump: He won't get a thing done, his wall won't get built, Muslims won't be banned from the us, every Mexican probably won't be deported. But here's what is the issue: Having a racist, bigoted, sexist, and xenophobic president does not help our country. Someone with no intelligence about trump may respond "oh, how is he racist, bigoted, exc...". Well.. Here we go: -Access Hollywood tape about his claims on women, and how he can sexually assault them because he's a celebrity -While his wall won't get build, his whole tone on Mexicans and immigration sparks horrendous foreign relations, and also basically offends an entire race -his comments on Muslims and "radical terrorism" also basically stereotypes all Muslims as terrorists. This is not the case, as only a fragment of a fragment of a fragment of Muslims are actually part of ISIS or support their cause. so to say that every Muslim is a terrorist once again proves his religious intolerence, but also, will once again spark horrendous foreign relations -Stop and frisk: policies like that would disproportionally target African Americans & Latinos, as they are the stereotyped "gang members". Most aren't, the ones who are probably are gang members because they need money to pay for their house, since they live in poverty and can't get out as much as they try due to the income gap in this country -climate change: he has pledged to discontinue all climate change programs, to help combat the issue. Climate change is a problem, anyone who refutes that is too ignorant to see the truth or woke up after a 80 year coma. We only get one earth, one home. So the idea is to not fuck up our home. To do that, all nations need to accept the science and accept that it is an issue, and help solve it. It is our job to lead the way in this fight, along with China. If we have a president who won't acknowledge a fact 97% of all scientists agree on, then we are screwed. Need any more examples? My point with all of this is that while trumps policies are way to extreme and most of them will never even get passed a subcommittee, the general ideology and rhetoric he is preaching is damaging for our country, both domestically and abroad. This will lead to basically anyone who isn't a white male having their rights stomped upon and fucked with. Just because some racist conservative assholes had their way. Hell, trump didn't even win the popular vote. But that doesn't matter now, I guess. Now I'm not saying I liked Hillary. She is far from the perfect apple in the batch. But she was a far better candidate then trump. At least she had policies that wouldn't degrade the very fabric of our nation. Now to address what people have said in the above comments: Some people, particulatly blacks, can't actually vote because conservative lawmakers make absurd laws regarding voting ID, rezone voting districts, and some even require a fee to just vote. So yea, we are lucky because we ar white and have money, but some can't even vote because the odds are stacked against them, via systematic racism. Furthermore, if we have a system of government that has elected a racist to be a president, but also has caused a lack of progress (congressional deadlock) then I don't think it is a good system. Elaborate on your viewpoints please. And making a thread about this isn't asking for trouble at all, unless you make it trouble. No it wouldn't have, due to the way the electoral college works. As of now he only has to nominate one judge. Furthermore, I don't think republicans will really control trump. If they wanted to control him, he would not have won the presidency actually, because his supporters would have betrayed him. It actually could have made a significant difference in the outcome of the election had these votes for Harambe come from a state such as Michigan where Hillary barely lost (within a couple thousand difference)
