    Hello all!

    As I'm sure you've noticed, we're planning on once again opening up our staff application process. Please read through this thread carefully as I'll be explaining how we are going to be doing things this time around.

    BuildCraftia needs talented, friendly & committed individuals to join our staff team. Potential staff members need to be loyal, hard-working, able to solve problems independently and within a group, offer advice and help to users who need it, connect on personal levels with our community, come online regularly, act in a mature manner when necessary, but also enjoy having laughs and good times to help create the positive atmosphere that BuildCraftia naturally radiates.

    Staff members need to be versatile, and should be able to fill any role that the community and staff body deem necessary.

    This time, we will be accepting 3 staff members.

    I will provide a link below to the sub-forum where you should post your applications as soon as it is opened.

    The Owners of the server will read through each application individually and thoroughly, as will most of our current staff team. Your current rank will not have any influence over the election process: it's up to you to make as good a pitch as you can!

    Each new staff member will be assigned 1 of our 3 admins as a mentor (
    Miner, Ninetails & Phoenix) who will help you in your first few weeks.

    We will not be considering geographical location in this round of applications (i.e. we're not looking specifically for UK / European mods or US mods).

    I would like to emphasise a very important point to anyone who's thinking of making an application: we need staff members who will be hugely dedicated to BuildCraftia, and who will be with us for the long-term. If we want to make any sort of progress this year, we need to focus on developing the server, rather than running mod elections.

    Recently, staff members have been joining and then leaving within a very short space of time. Being a staff member is not a one-time thing: if you are chosen to do the job, we expect you to follow through with it. We will be taking this into account when it comes to discussing potential staff.

    This sounds pretty serious at the moment, but honestly we just want a no-fuss application process with a chill election at the end of it. We want to see these staff positions go to the most deserving people, and that's what we hope to achieve! ;)

    Phoenix said apps will close Friday, then results on Saturday.

    Though he also said that these dates are subjected to change. :p

    I think he meant like how long will they last, since alot of staff leave after like a month. :p

    Oh. Well in that case, I think they hope for the mods to last like, a year (Like Nine).

    I said the results will <<hopefully>> be on Sunday, not Saturday :p

    This will leave a very short space of time for voting though, so we may change it. We just really want to get past mod apps and get on with developing the server tbh

    Honestly, most people apply in the first two days... So I don't think it really needs to be open until Friday

    Like you said already she won't be able to get online by Friday anyways... And there's always next time.

    Public Server Notice:
    The current staff body have decided, with input from our users (*cough* Dusty :p *cough*) to bring forward the staff application submission deadline to Thursday 24th March 2016.

    Applications posted after 12:00pm GMT on Thursday 24th March 2016 will not be counted.
    Click here to access a time zone converter.

    We hope that by doing this, we can start voting sooner (allowing more time for voting to take place) and, therefore, hopefully release the results on-time on Sunday 27th March 2016.

    Please spread this message to other users who may not have seen it, especially if they're planning on making an application and still haven't yet. Again, the reason we're doing this is because we've had a number of applications already, and we don't want to be waiting around for a deadline when everyone's already made their application. This still gives people well-over 24 hours to make an application if they haven't already. Additionally, it means we're more likely to be in a position to release the results on Sunday.

    I may actually apply since the reason I left is I had nothing to really do on the server. This would be something great to do for me and the community.

    Wow man. Just because some people cant be on doesn't mean you should postpone it for EVERYONE. A lot of player cant come on Monday for school
