New Server Era?

Good evening dear players of BuildCraftia,


in the past few months you may have noticed that the activity of Zach, also known as MacMeBenny, has dropped to what is, without exaggerating, nothing. For a while we have tolerated this, persuaded us that he would eventually come back and he just has important issues to deal with. Due to this decision, always waiting for Zach, the server has grinded to a halt. Since new year, we have decided to ignore the absence of Zach and get the server moving with games such as Domination and the new Skyblock server. It feels good to see the server go somewhere. Still, the feeling of being held back persists.

Last week Zach logged on for the first time in months for longer than 10 minutes, and we were able to discuss a few things. First of all, he transferred control over the main accounts, like the domain and the server host, to the shared email. This allows us to finally manage the server fully, even in his absence. However, we have calculated that in 2015, at least $1500 should be left over. The payment request on PayPal (the reason he came online in the first place after ignoring our messages for months) was denied though. What?! The server should be used for server purposes, as advertised on the BuildCraftia Server Network shop, but apparently Zach disagrees, reasoning that because he started the server with his own money that it is his money and he decides what to do with it. Furthermore, he stated that the server is entirely his and we’re not really owners but only staff. Because we are not going to accept these two things under any circumstances as we have invested too much effort into the server to “just be staff”, this venture can no longer continue with Zach onboard as he is not willing to change his position. While this was no more than a idea last week, Zach not appearing and ignoring our message this week despite promising to be more active has confirmed our position.


Therefore, we will propose the new jobs for our current owners, as known as the administration team:

ItsAZZA

ItsAZZA is going to be the first main owner for BuildCraftia Server Network. He will be responsible for the appearance of the server. This includes photos, builds, videos, advertisements and social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. He will also manage the financials of BuildCraftia with Quicksteve.


Quicksteve
Quicksteve will be the second main owner for BuildCraftia and the developer as he will mainly be working on the technical side of the server. He will also occasionally assimilate other fellow members for his amusement.

Jessiieee

Her new official job will be the server Community Manager. She will be responsible for players and their needs. She will gather up statistics, ideas and feedback from players. She is also going to be the mentor and oldest for the other staff members together with the other owners.


AZZA and Quicksteve will be deciding together with Jessiiee’s help on major server decisions.

This is sad, but it is a necessary. I feel as if Zach hasn't been too involved in the server lately (Since at least "The Great Leaving"), and this is definitely a step in the right direction.

 

I feel like what Lumen said is true, however times change and people move on. As I've stated repeatedly lately, Mac has lost interest in Minecraft, and thus BuildCraftia. Even if we just demote him until he "returns", it's still better than an inactive Owner.
