I dislike that this is necessary but it's been suggested by FatherFan So recently some people(word and arc) have been "hacked". As it were it might have been them leaving themselves logged in somewhere, or someone legitimately stealing their password. Irregardless I'm here today to tell you one thing: Don't be lax about your password. It's a pain to have a long or difficult one I know, but it's worth it not having someone get into your account since here on BC, "your account, your responsibility." Some suggestions for passwords: Have a number in it replacing a letter, this makes it twice as difficult to guess a password Capitalise randomly(but remember which letters are capitalised) possibly add things like a comma or a hyphen if they're allowed literally. don't have it be your name or birth year change your password every once in a while, just tweak it a bit just in case. It never hurts So like, say my password were: CheeseMan123 I could replace the E's with 3 to be Ch33seMan123. Then randomly capitalise to be cH33seMaN123. I could add in random signs at the beginning, _?cH33seMaN123 and so on and so forth. Yeah its of a pain to have a password like that but for minecraft its an auto login so it hardly matters. But yeah, tl;dr don't have an easy password because its no fun to be banned because some nerdlord got into your account.
So the three passwords I have can be solved in, on average... 0.3797436586666667 seconds My strongest password can be solved in about a day. Says a lot...
This is about discussing how secure our passwords is. Using my account being compromised is just an excuse, it happens to lots of us. Don't bring it up again, please. Anyways, I'm genuinely curious of people's password protection.
Also @AffectedArc07 you can't criticize word over account security since im pretty sure you got hacked?
