Denied Vertical Slab Suggestion

This has been something many members of the community have wanted from right before the Arcadia times, and this could really help save space on making interiors and exteriors of all sorts of buildings.
Vertical slabs would work the same as regular slabs, but obviously, their long end would be vertical, rather than horizontal. If this gets added, this will only extend the limitations of Minecraft when it comes to architecture.

I know there is already a mod for this but that is 1.7.2 so none of us can really use it

Vertical slabs (that are not entities) are literally impossible to make without a mod?

 

Yes olo. This would not be possible unless the server becomes modded, or we have armourstands with slabs on thier heads tiling a wall. And if someone did /stoplag (Removes all entities) any vertical slabs would be gone.

 

I dont care, Make the server modded, Needs to be a thing

 

If the server is modded, that means that everyone else will have to download the mod just to play, and we will also have to downgrade to 1.7.2, which would be horrible since many people would be too lazy to to downgrade and download so we would have 2 players on at a time, just for vertical slabs

 

I bet vertical slabs will probs be in an update one day anyway

Still, The fact of having them will be amazingly good, Sure its a mod but still who the hell doesnt want them?

 

I dont know, maybe the fact that we will have literally ZERO new players coming in becaus they have to downgrade and download a mod? Too much work.

 

Through advertising, great builders will be coming on just so they can have vertical slabs. By the way, I remember in staff chat that it was one of the main goals; to have a better server-wide average building skill just for the sole purpose of attracting excellent builders which will attract other players for the sole purpose of seeing these amazing builds and may get inspired to try building something amazing themselves.

Edit: also, it could just go on Leo's to-do list to have an updated mod for this.

Nope, BC isn't and probably won't be advertising because apparently we're a bunch of stupid asshats.
Ever heard of a server that had some awesome unique block or feature that was only on that server? No?
That's why this isn't going to work.
Minecraft servers are popular because of their ease of accesibility ; hop on, play. Nothing else needed. Doing this would destroy that concept.
Oh and, for the people who actually want to join the server if we have vertical slabs, what if they run into a problem installing the mod?
We will need our own troubleshooters, just for the fucking sake of having vertical slabs. Oh and, who will make the mod? Our slave Quicksteve or something?
