So I recently saw the movie "Jurassic World" and I am glad to say, it was a decent movie. (SPOILER ALERT):If you did not see the movie yet, I kindly will tell you do not read the text that is in this forum. Thank you. Anyway, this movie was EXTREMELY suspenseful, being that we have our star of the movie, Owen, (aka Chris Pratt) almost get eaten by the infamous Indominous Rex more than once. Do you not remember who the Indominous Rex was and who Owen was? Are you confused about the movie in general? Let me clear things up for you: Okay, so there are two children who are brothers, a teenage boy with a girlfriend and is way to attached with technology, (Brandon Richardson as Chris) and then you have the younger brother, who is obsessed with dinosaurs and knows everything you need to know about them...and he is the smarter one of the two, he is (Ty Simpkins, aka Gray). They are going to the new and modified version of Jurassic Park-Jurassic World and will be supervised with their scientist aunt-Aunt Claire. (They went without adults...what kind of parents ARE they, anyway?!) When the two brothers get there, Aunt Claire assigns her assistant to watch over them, who really does nothing at all, and Aunt Claire rarely gets to see her nephews. Aunt Claire is so busy because she has created a "Genetically modified hybrid" called the Indominous Rex, which we later find out that is very intelligent, for in the movie it made scratch marks on the walls to make it LOOK like she escaped, when really she only set up a trap for her favorite meat-human meat. Owen and the other workers are too late to realize this when they see the dino running towards them at full speed, and they escape safely, but the Indominous Rex broke through her "unbreakable" cage, roaming around Jurassic World, causing havoc and a near-death experience for the two brothers. So now that I cleared a LITTLE of things up for you, on to my review: CATEGORY: Suspense & Adventure (1 the worst, 10 the best) Suspense: 10 The suspense in this movie was unimaginable, it left me at the edge of my seat hugging my knees and biting my fingernails. You never knew what was going to happen next, who will die, or who will live. Adventure: 10 Gosh these people burned calories running around in this movie. The adventure they took was incredible, and took viewers on memory lane when the two brothers discover Jurassic Park, and actually fix up one of the older trucks and are able to drive it. This was a take-back to the first ever Jurassic movie, and I am very glad they brought that back. Action: 9.8 Well...most of the action you saw here was dinosaurs devouring humans and humans failing at killing this giant dinosaur with a machine gun. COME ON GUYS YOU'RE THE STAFF IN JURASSIC WORLD FOR GOD SAKE. The action in this movie was very good, but the action mainly was in the middle-end and end of the film. It developed as the movie went on. Acting: 10 I have to say, the acting in this movie was phenomenal. All of the characters performed their lines exceptionally well, even the minor roles and extras. When someone screamed in terror, you screamed in terror too, and the look on their faces and the tears they wept were actually touching to the audience, and made you feel like that story was a real occurrence on Earth. Set: 10 The set looked so amazing it's not even funny. You had that tragedy feeling when a Pterodactyl came crashing into a building, the particle effects were intricate, and looked like everything was breaking apart, even though everything was computer generated. The jungle they were in actually looked like a real dinosaur habitat back in the Jurassic time period, I'm glad they did their research and didn't make some retarded set that had nothing to do with dinosaurs whatsoever. Beginning: 9.5 Okay the beginning was very good, it showed the two brothers taking the plane to go to Jurassic World and such (which was very well presented if I do say so myself), but that touchy-touchy feeling with Chris and his girlfriend? That was not needed, I've seen enough of those cringe-worthy couples in my day, I don't need them in movies now! End: 10 The end was amazing...It shows the Tyrannosaurus Rex (which turns out to be the victor for the humans and beats the Indominous Rex in a final showdown, they brought this baby back too from the first movie) standing on the study building looking over the horizon at the break of dawn, roaring a victorious roar, and I don't know how to elegantly explain it but it had a nice, beautiful, victorious, solid ending. It made you have a good feeling in your heart when you left the movie theater, not like those other suspenseful movies where they show the doll come back to life again and you're like WAHHHH! Overall Rating: 10 As soon as this movie comes out on DVD, I'm buying it and watching it over and over again until I don't hug my knees anymore. Yeah this movie is great because of the features shown above, but the best thing about it is it never gets old. Jurassic Park was made a pretty long time ago, and my dad and I still watch it, laughing at the jokes and screaming at the scary parts. The best thing about this movie is it can be played for generations in the future to enjoy, and for their children to enjoy, and so on. It's like the Disney classics, no matter how old you are, you'll never get tired of the classics. That's Jurassic World, a classic movie with a bit of a modern touch. The filmmakers of this movie did an extremely amazing job, and I hope you all enjoyed the movie as much as I did. Thank you for reading this, and have a fabulous day!
