Learn Irish From An Irish Man.

    So, you might be wondering (prolly not) how to speak irish or a new language, I shall help you!!!

    So to start it off the language is not called irish, but Gaeilge (Gwayl'guh).

    Dia dhuit (dia guit) - Hello

    Dia's Muire dhuit (dia smera guit) - Hello but the reply

    Conas atá tú (Conas ataw two) - How are you?

    Response

    Tá mé go maith, búiochas le dia (Taw may go mah, buckas le dia) - I am good, thanks be to god.

    Slán leat - (slahn lat) - Bye

    Not to be rude (I'm just naïve), but I had no idea the Irish spoke their own language. For some reason I thought they spoke English. Interesting.

    We all learn Irish, and some parts of the country speak it but most of us speak English.

    Nice. And then we have the US where 95% of the population speak 1 language and 50% of those cant even talk correctly.

    There is actually 3 forms of English Americans use. Regular English. Non audible English. And college English. #2 is used by 80% of Americans.

    Some people went to a school where they spoke irish for 6 years, I did not and I suck at it :)

    Irish is an ancient language just like Scottish and Welsh, still though I think it would be cool to learn it so when I go down to Ireland I'd be able to read all the signs and maps in Irish
